So today, I want to hear from YOU on what you think about beading!!!
As you know, Blue Moon Beads is the newest addition to our DCWV Inc. Family! It was so fun to be at CHA and see all of the bead and jewelry displays in OUR booth!! It was a whole new world for us. Yes, we have seen every sheet of paper come through our company for years and years...but BEADS? A whole new world :)
Here are a few of the jewelry pieces from our CHA booth made with Blue Moon Beads!
This is the necklace that got me interested in learning to bead! I kept taking it off the display board and wearing it around the booth :) I NEED to make it!
I am curious and REALLY want to hear from you! What is your experience with beading??
Have you played around a little? Has it always intrigued you? Do you want to learn more? Is it something you are not interested in?? Leave me a comment!! Monday I will pick a comment and send a goodie pack of Blue Moon Beads!!
Have a fabulous weekend, friends!! And I hope to see you back here on Monday!!

I would love to learn how to bead, Im just dont know what to do, I get a little overwhelmed when I walk down the bead or jewelry section! I have 3 girls and could teach them to make accessories with out breaking the bank!

I was super excited when I heard that an alliance was forming between one of my favorite paper companies and one of my favorite bead companies! I actually was beading before I took up paper crafting and I still create my own one-of-a-kind jewelry designs fairly often, though for the most part it has taken back seat to my newer obsession. When thickness and dimension are an option for my paper designs, I even combine the two. The little alphabet beads strung on wire make a delightfully different way in which to display a title or sentiment on a paper crafting project. I also use fibers and charms on my mini albums (I think this is fairly commonly done now but I have been doing it for years). The possibilities are practically endless! DCWV and Blue Moon is a match made in heaven, in my opinion!
ReplyDeleteI think beading can be a fun hobby. My sister makes alot of things, but I have only done a few. I think it is hard to put things together to make them look nice, but there are so many great examples and products out there, that I am feeling a little more confident. :) I may have to try it again!
ReplyDeleteOh and PS... That necklace that you liked above is also my favorite! I love necklaces that combine a couple different kinds of things like pearls and chain. :) I can see that looking good on you and you totally need to make one for yourself! :)
ReplyDeleteI love bead work, but I am not great at it! (I can only be perfect at so many things LOL) I have tried making bracelets that weren't too bad. I would love some of these gorgeous Blue Moon beads! I am also working on the August Stack-a-holic challenge, I better get moving!
ReplyDeleteI was beading before I started scrapbooking. I love jewelry and love to make my own.
ReplyDeleteI have no experience with jewelry making, but I do have quite a few of Bluemoon beads because I like to make charms and incorporate them in my mini books.

First, my favorite is the adorable robot!!! Second, I have done a little bit of jewelry making, but not much. I prefer jewelry that looks really nice--not like some of the bracelets that I see women wearing sometimes. It has to be high quality, and cool--different. I really enjoyed making jewelry at the CHA consumer show--it was a new experience for me, and caused me to make other jewelry since I got my feet wet at the CHA. sharon dot gullikson at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteI have been beading for just a little bit, it sort of started as mommy time, but then my P-I-T decided it was great for pattern making and sharing with mommy.
ReplyDeleteI love to use beads in, and with, my paper crafting. I recently bought a couple of vintage bottles and add a chain to their neck. I then used odds and ends and beads to make charms to hang down from the chain. I love Blue Moon Beads for projects like this. Thanks for the chance to win some goodies!
ReplyDeleteI haven't done much with beads, but my daughter started really getting into making bracelets, so I bought her some beading stuff for Christmas last year, and really enjoyed looking at everything in the beading aisles. She's going to bring her goodies over next time she comes so she can teach me some stuff!!

I've always wanted to learn to make my own jewelry. I've bought some supplies and made a few things, some jewelry and some for scrapbooking. But I'm afraid to get into another expensive hobby!
ReplyDeletei love the look of almost all the hand strung necklaces and bracelets, but I don't have much patience for doing it myself. I do buy beads and charms and jump rings so I can use them on cards though, and I do like to make a hemp bracelet every once in awhile.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Blue Moon Beads! How wonderful that you have joined forces! :) There are so many great ways you can use beads in papercrafting, and yes, papercrafting for beading. This is great! :)
ReplyDeletePerfect union Blue Moon and DCWV. I put beading aside for a while when I started my blog. I am ready to go again. It would be fun to do projects that used both. Such as part decorations with matching wine charms or danglies to hang from chanalier for holidays

I am not good at it, but my girls loooove it!
ReplyDeleteI usually use all the goodies on my altered items, not necesarily jewelry.. but I love anything shiny!!!
I love to look at beads and figure out what I can use them for. I am starting to get into making jewelry due to my husband. My husband LOVES to make jewelry. I really like Blue Moon Beads!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love beading! I started out making jewelry and then moved more in to paper crafting. Recently I've been intrigued by combining the two so this is a fantastic new addition to the DCWV family for me!
ReplyDeleteI use beads for scrapbooking sometimes but don't wear much jewelry! TFS!
ReplyDeleteI love making jewelry and using beads. I usually stick to making earrings and bracelets but I also use beads as accents on tags. I have used Blue Moon beads before and I like their selection and quality.
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to get into jewelry making, but honestly, have been a little scared. Not of actually doing it, but of it becoming so big a part of my downtime, much as scrapping and buying DCWV stacks has become! LOL
ReplyDeleteThank you for the beading giveaway!
First of all Blue Moon Beads are one of my favorite jewelry companies out there, so glad to see both companies teaming up now!!! I am not much of a jewelry wearer, but I love incorporating jewelry pieces into my paper crafting. I'm quite a novice at doing so and would love to learn more about beading and charm making as there are so many pretty things out there. Thanks for the chance to win such an awesome giftaway!
ReplyDeleteI love to make jewelry. I hop back & forth from paper to beading. Blue Moon has some gorgeous items. Thanks for the chance to win some!

I love beading and making jewelry for myself and family/friends. Blue Moon has always been one of my favorite bead companies...I just recently made a summery necklace and a Blue Moon pendant was the focal point.....and it would be wonderful to win some Blue Moon beading goodies!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Did you really make these??? I've never tried beading but these are gorgeous. Sure wish I could make jewelry like this :)
ReplyDeleteI love beading! I have been beading since I was a young child. It has always been a passion of mine! Such a fun & enjoyable hobby!
ReplyDeleteI've never done beading, and I am not a jewelry wearer except for really dress-up occasions (like almost never these days)! But with a 5 1/2 yo granddaughter, I might have to get interested in it....she is a beads and jewels girl for sure!
ReplyDeleteI don't make jewlery but I have enjoyed adding small bead work to cards and to the occassional bookmark. That's about the total experience for me.
ReplyDeleteI have completed some beading projects like earrings. It was fun especially with a bunch of friends!
ReplyDeleteI love the robot necklace, I love beads, my 16 yr old daughter makes all her own jewelry she love having one of a kind thing. It is a great Hobbie to do together. Thanks for sharing. Hope your day is Blessed.
ReplyDeleteI have no experience beading, but have started a collection to make charms with to add to my mini books... Thanks for sharing..
ReplyDeleteBeautiful necklaces. I've bought Blue Moon beads before and like their products. I'm not much for wearing jewelry any more, but I still have grabbed a few jewelry making supplies here and there because it looks like fun. I think I am more inclined to work it into another craft item and use them in jewelry, but I like the pieces I see here. Fun, and not too difficult to work with.
ReplyDeleteI used to do some beading but hadn't in a long time until our new church had a jewelry workshop. I made 2 pair of earrings! Now I can't wait for the next workshop so that I learn to make matching necklaces.
ReplyDeleteI've been beading for fun for quite a while! It's usually when I'm inspired to make something from new beading stuff I see or making something to match a new outfit, ect or for gifts! Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI collect beads like I do paper supplies but never get around to using them--need some easy project ideas.

I love beads. I have some beads but mostly those plastic pony beads that kids love so much. My daughter loved them and made things. I would love to start making jewelry but don't know where to start. Thanks for the chance. I would love to make something spectacular like the pieces you have showed.
ReplyDeleteI love to make charms from beads...to hang on my mini...but that's the extend of my beading...I would love to makes some bracelets but just don't know how..tfs..
ReplyDeleteI got hooked when my local papercraft store started stocking beads (including Blue Moon!). Sadly the store has now closed but I still make and sell my own jewellery.
ReplyDeleteI love the pieces you had on display at CHA, so big and bold.
I hope you will be able to share lots of your designers makes with us.

I adore beads! For my birthday I went to Beadfest in Philly. I took a huge tackle box of them camping. You can never have too many beads!
ReplyDeleteValarie
My mother in law loves to make jewellry, I use beads to make decorative pins but have never been bitten by the beading bug much.
ReplyDeleteI love the last necklace with the white flower! I love to make necklaces and bracelets. However, I have troubles with the clasps. I need a how-to class on how to deal with those pesky ends, and I would like to be able to make more detailed jewelry like the ones above. I also crochet wire and beaded jewelry.

I love beads. I have made several pairs of earings over the years. I love how you can customize your pieces and coordinate to your outfits. I have also used beads on my scrapbook los. I love how eclectic beads can be.
ReplyDeleteI love beading. Just getting into it actually. I make pins and charms for my projects. Thanks for chance.
ReplyDeleteI loved beading when I was younger. Just can't afford both hobbies anymore and prefer Cardmaking/Scrapbooking. Besides the hands are getting old and they don't like lots of beading or hand sewing type crafts anymore.
